Journal of Teaching in Travel & Tourism
  • The Journal of Teaching in Travel & Tourism is the professional journal of the International Society of Travel & Tourism Educators (ISTTE). This Journal serves as an international interdisciplinary forum and reference source for travel and tourism education. The readership of the Journal is international in scope, with a good representation in college and university libraries as well as high schools and professional schools offering courses in travel and tourism. The Journal of Teaching in Travel and Tourism publishes quality manuscripts relating to travel and tourism education at various levels, ranging from proprietary schools to advance degree-granting universities. The journal regularly publishes features and columns to introduce educators and educators-in-training to new concepts and approaches. These special sections and features include:

Instructions for Authors
Original Articles Only. Submission of a manuscript to this Journal represents a certification on the part of the author(s) that it is an original work, and that neither this manuscript nor a version of it has been published elsewhere nor is being considered for publication elsewhere.
Manuscript Length. Typical manuscripts should be approximately 6,000 words (20 to 30 pages) doubled spaced (including references, tables, and figures). Longer or shorter papers will be considered at the discretion of the editor.
Manuscript Style. This Journal follows the APA style as outlined in the latest edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.
Manuscript Preparation. The Journal of Teaching in Travel & Tourism receives all manuscript submissions electronically via its ScholarOne Manuscripts portal located at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/wttt. ScholarOne Manuscripts allows for rapid submission of original and revised manuscripts, and facilitates the review process and internal communication between authors, editors, and reviewers via a web-based platform. ScholarOne technical support can be accessed at http://scholarone.com/services/support.
All parts of the manuscript should be typewritten, double-spaced, with margins of at least one inch on all sides. Number manuscript pages consecutively throughout the paper. Authors should also supply 4-5 keywords and a shortened version of the title suitable for the running head, not exceeding 50 character spaces. Each article should be summarized in an abstract of not more than 100 words. Avoid abbreviations, diagrams, and reference to the text in the abstract.
A short descriptive title should appear above each table with a clear legend and any footnotes suitably identified below. All units must be included. Figures should be completely labeled, taking into account necessary size reduction.
