2022 ISTTE Scholarships
The ISTTE Scholarship Committee will present two (2) $1,000.00 awards to two (2) students affiliated with ISTTE member schools during the 2021-2022 academic year. An application form is attached and is due, along with an essay and cover letter, no later than May 1, 2022 at 5 PM EDT.
An applicant needs to submit an electronic essay that describes her/his passion for entering the segment of the industry s/he is studying. The essay should be a word-processed, double-spaced document, utilizing 12-point font with 1-inch margins and should not exceed 3 pages in length.

The application package should include the following
1. An Application (download the form here): including an endorsement by an active ISTTE member from the student’s institution. Please create a PDF, after the form has been signed. 2. A cover letter (maximum 2 pages), including: a) Student’s academic background, experience, and aspirations in the travel and tourism industry
b) Reason(s) for seeking the scholarship. 3. The essay 4. One-page resume
Judging
Any sources indicated in the essay must be cited. The essay will be checked for plagiarism via an electronic medium. ISTTE member faculty will judge the essays using the following criteria:I. Description (10 points) How well does the essay reflect the student’s story and passion?II. Organization and Clarity (10 points) Does the essay follow a logical and easily understood progression? III. Writing (10 points)Correct grammar, spelling, punctuation and concise language.
